It doesn't really matter what the problem is: you fix it by identifying the portion of the problem caused by the thing(s) you don't like, and ignoring the contribution of the things you like.

• The reason the economy sucks is because of environmental regulation! Ignore the rich people and tax breaks and outsourcing!

• The reason the economy sucks is because of outsourcing! Ignore the environmental regulations!

• The economy sucks because <anything, except the things I like>.
