Man Strikes Blow Against Tyranny Of Monopoly

Anti-corporate activist Phil Davis, frustrated by recent reversals in antitrust litigation, has come up with a strategy to fight the oppressive tactics of giant multinational corporations:

He deliberately misspells the company names to reflect what he considers to be the true nature of these companies.

For example, he spells 'Microsoft' with a dollar sign instead of an "s". Since corporations like Microsoft are only interested in making money, and since the dollar sign is the symbol for the United States monetary unit, and since it kind of looks like a capital "S", it shows that 'Micro$oft' is only after money.

While usage of Davis' "Micro$oft" has grown over the years, his attacks on other corporations, such as $ears, $ony, and Wal-mart$, have not gained much popularity. "'Wal-mart$' is the hardest to use because you have to use the plural form," says Davis.
