Afghans Should Be Respected For Their Warmth

An editorial by Chris Famunda

Of all the blankets I could have; from vellour to quilts to comforters to throw blankets, I thank God every day for my afghan. Some would say that a closed weave afghan is the warmest. No arguments here, but when you are looking for style as well as warmth (which I hope you are) you need an open weave afghan.

A local toddler enjoys the benefitsof an afghan.
Although an open weave afghan will, by its very design, allow more air to flow through, that's a price I'm willing to pay for my afghan.
