Bob Barker Cites Personal Reasons For Move To Animal Planet

Television personality Bob Barker surprised the game show world with a move from long time home CBS, home of 'The Price is Right,' to Animal Planet. Although no official explanation for the move was given, some comments overheard by Barker at a cat spaying convention earlier this year may provide some clue; "there are too damn many animals on this planet, someone is definitely neglecting their spaying and neutering responsibilities."

Barker then allegedly went on to say, "I'm thinking about going to Animal Planet." At the time, this statement was attributed to Barker's desire, sparked from the UFO trailing the Hale-Bopp Comet, to journey to a newly discovered planet, which Barker dubbed 'Animal Planet.'

This planet, Barker believed, was home to a race of super-beings who always had their pets spayed or neutered. Barker, again allegedly, believed he was the leader of this planet and had been sent to earth to spread his doctrine. In any event, Barker has joined forces with the Animal Planet's Crocodile Hunter.

The new series, cleverly entitled 'The Crocodile Hunter and Bob Barker', will feature the usual mix of catching wild animals for no apparent reason coupled with live spayings.
