Dentist banned from recent high-level talks between the dental community and chewing gum manufacturers.

Phil Carey, a leading dentist in Chicago, was asked to leave the conference under less than friendly terms after he refused to go along with the group in recommending chewing Trident brand chewing gum after meals.

Of the five dentists on the panel, three recommended chewing Trident brand chewing gum after meals and one recommended chewing it before meals, leaving Carey, who recommended chewing Dentine brand chewing gum during meals, as the lone dissenter from the Trident camp.

"I cringe whenever I see their 4/5 dentists recommend chewing Trident brand chewing gum commercial," laments Carey. "What they don't tell you is there's a fifth dentist out there saying 'Trident? Fuck Trident!'"
