Assault Charges Filed Against Uncle Of Shark Attack Victim

As though the trauma of a shark attack were not enough, an 8 yr old boy also was shot 3 times- by his own uncle.

"Well, actually the reattachment of the severed arm went well enough," said the head surgeon on the operation team. "It was those damn gunshots that gave us so much trouble. I mean, should we sew the arm back on first, or should we remove the bullets first? It just was a tough call to make."

The boy was mauled by a shark in a tidal pool, witnesses say. After the arm was severed, the boy's uncle shot the shark 3 times in the head, unfortunately, his nephew's arm was still clenched tightly in the shark's jaws. An expected backlash by PETA was avoided when it became apparent that the shooting was not unprovoked. Local lifeguards report that the shark was armed and dangerous.
